What I Do

Let me just give you a rundown of how therapy works in my practice. I am here to help support you find ways to cope, develop healthy relationships, and bolster a strong sense of self and identity. How I do that is by using a mix of 1 hr talk sessions and then I give you weekly "toolkits" you can use between sessions to continue therapy in your everyday life. This can include: journaling questions, art activities, meditations etc.

The therapy is lead by you, what your goals are and what you need help with. I am just a guide, I don't believe in anyone being an expert of another's life. We are both in this learning together what works and doesn't work for you and your life.

Who am I?

I am a registered psychotherapist, specializing in Expressive based therapy. I look at therapy as a path towards healing, with a holistic approach towards health and mental wellness.​ I work from a Trauma-informed lens. Expressive arts therapy is based on the idea that art expression is helpful in reconnecting implicit (sensory) and explicit (declarative) memories of trauma and in the treatment of trauma.

 

If you don't feel like traditional therapy is for you, then I work with you to find what does work for you. I specialize in: youth treatment, anxiety, trauma and depression.

I focus on integrative modalities:

Using strength based approaches, incorporating CBT into active practices. Its not about the labels or the diagnosis its about finding what works best for you.

I approach therapy as relationship: between someone who wants to support you, and help you access resources and tools so you can support yourself. I am a human simply helping other humans navigate life in a healthier way.
